The Wise Owl Of Muffely Meadow

Once lived a hummingbird called Laney. Laney had just arrived from a year’s trip to Japan. Over in Japan, she had learned many things. She had learned ‘nuu koto no geijutsu’, well this is how you say it in Japanese… I think, in English, it is known as the art of sewing. Laney was phenomenal at sewing, oh, the way her knitting pieces feel! It was a phenomenal feeling. It felt as if it was your own delicate skin or delicate icicles.

Laney was super excited to come back home, into Muffely Meadow. She was walking along the path happily; she wasn’t flying as her wings got tired from flying all the way from Japan to Muffely Meadow. As the grass waved at her she waved back, when the wind whistled so did she, she was in the best mood ever. As she sauntered past the Oaktree, she found a long, and I mean really long line outside of the oak tree. Everybody in the line was holding the most succulent, yummy bird food in the world. There were some stars in the line like, Kitty Purry, Beeyonce, Demi Lovatoad, Elvis Presleech, Sealena Gomez, Lady baba, Luke Flywaker (yes, he is real), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olfin and more were there.

In her mind, Laney thought everyone was here to give her a big surprise as she had just returned. Before going to get an autograph from the stars, she scrambled off to Billy the Brown Bear and asked, “oh Billy I’m back, remember me your friend, Laney?” asked Laney. “Ohh, hohohoho” chortled Billy. “How could I ever forget you?” he said. “Why is there a long line outside of the oak tree?” Laney asked hurryingly. “well,” Billy was interrupted, “hurry up!” screeched Laney. “ell, the oak tree is home to the old owl now. We had discovered that he gives amazing advice and can answer any question. So every day animals come seeking advice from him. He doesn’t ask for anything, so we decided to give him food for his kindness…. Oh, we’ll speak later, it’s my turn to seek advice from the Old Owl.” Billy had entered the tree, trying to squish himself through the hole, after a few more pushes he had entered.

Unfortunately, Laney was mad inside, she thought ‘What rubbish, I am the one with great advice, they didn’t plan a party for me at all. She piques walked to her treehouse, it was just opposite of the Old Owl’s oak tree. “Ugh, nobody’s even here for me” Laney cried. “Well, seeing that I should be the one who gets all the attention, It looks like I have to steal,” Laney smirked, little did she know, she was just walking into a huge mess. The same night Laney arrived, she started trouble.

Laney came up with a devious plan, she snuck out of her home into the deep and mysterious parts of Muffely Meadow. She saw a small hut, at the edge of the meadow. As she entered it a voice immediately echoed in the room, “Hello Laney, you’ve come. Seeking attention and power I see. You never learned. Well, you will seek what you want.” Said a mysterious voice. Laney looked emotionless. She kneeled down. Then she started singing a song. As she sang it, two bottles appeared in front of her, one saying: Unconscious and the other saying: Voice changer. Without any reaction, Laney accepted the potions and ran into her home. All this mischief on the same night of Laney’s arrival!

At 3:44am, Laney snuck into Old Owls tree when no one was there. She cruelly fed him the potion that said: Unconscious as she said “Because of you, I got no attention. This has all happened because of you! You will pay now” She then cut off Old Owls feathers. She Knitted all the owl's feathers into a cloak. She then wore the cloak. She carried the owl back to her home and left him there. She was posing as an Old owl! That’s preposterous if you asked me! She left for Old owl’s home. When she reached there, she drank the voice changer.

The next day all the animals gave Laney food as they thought she was the old owl. Old Owl remembered everything that happened the night before, he told all his visitors, well the visitors that were visiting Laney, the fake Old Owl. Is this confusing? Well, you should’ve paid attention!

After 3 days Old Owl appeared in Laney’s home…..well his home that Laney stole. “If you are really the Old Owl, then you would be able to fly. Fly for me” Old Owl exclaimed. Laney knew she couldn’t fly like an owl. The old owl flew amazingly. She knew this as she saw him fly on Flytube. “Ugh! You’ve ruined everything!” Laney said in her normal voice. Everyone was in the line behind Old owl was in utter shock! “Seize her for treason” screeched everyone in the line! Laney gave back Old Owl’s feathers to Old Owl. Old Owl had to go through a serious operation to get his feathers back. As for Laney, she was banished for treason of one of the most important people! No one knows exactly what happened to Laney. Some think she went back to Japan; some think she lives with the woman who gave her the potions…. But that’s not important. What’s important is that trying to be someone you’re not cause you’re just jealous isn’t going to fix anything! Laney learned that the hard way.

Perfection - Poem

I try to find words for your ethereal beauty, but I stumble in your presence, Your intoxicating energy, My cheeks ablaze, Please jealousy, consume me,  Her light is too bright, Yet it shines with me, Your honey words of poetry, Those of which you sing, I am spellbound and falling under your incantation, The moon could be our gem, The sun could be our ring, The worlds but an orb in your earthly eyes.

From the Men of Troy - poem

To touch the scars of your soul through your eyes and deepen them, To wield the my trojan tongue in hopes of dying for her, Her who sent those ships to sink, Her who held hope in her arms and harnessed its impact against us, Her who ran into the sand and bathed in their flames,  She loved it so much that she lived in its ashes You stopped being a monster because I loved you, I found what I loved and let it kill me, She is the closest thing to magic, To god, To human, Time told me it wasn't love, But if this wasn't it, what could it be? I was blinded by hopes of church bells and chariot rides, Those that hide your glow because it's mine I wished to died for treasure, No remorse, but just loss of something better, Rest Helen, Everything was more beautiful when we were doomed,

Should we fall? - poem

Distraught, disfigured, shattered, How do I leave my demons? How do I find a cure? Within these walls, hope has brewed,  Translucent and pure, like a fleeting dream,  Let us depart, venture into the unknown. Before departure, This maiden, she spared a glance behind, Through her watery waterline, The deception, She realised nobody was waiting, And so she plunges forward, into the depths of madness, Let us follow, embrace her uncharted path, Even if we must fall, Lets join her Past foggy glasses, We learn the essence of joy,  To confront our fears or be crippled by our despairs,  The choice is ours to make, For destiny is completely malleable if you hit hard enough
