George’s View

“You might have known I live in a house.” Said George. “Lots of people live in houses, you see.” He said very excitedly with a small and fast wink. “Today I’ll tell you about my house.…. the best house in the world!” Screamed George. “Shhhh George, I am on the phone!”. Whispered mum. She sounded a little frustrated. “Sorry mum,” Giggled George silently. “Let’s go to my room. No one can hear us there.” George tiptoed to his room. He made up silly karate moves and pretended as if he was a real skilled spy. Once he reached his room, he took a piece of paper out from his drawer. “Now, I am a narrator and you are the listening people. I will tell you about my view of my house! Let’s get started.” He squealed! “There is a room where we do horrible things like essays, equations and much more, this place is very dangerous. This room is called the, study. The yellow deceiver

As I see the bright yellow lemon, I notice its identical stem ends and its slight shine. But at the same time, I notice its imperfections, its brown scratches, and marks, its wrinkles, and its rough random bumps. The tiny deep spots run about the lemon, by that I can tell that it's rough and its texture is almost grainy. When I touch the lemon with my bare hands, I sense the freshness thanks to the coldness. And what I predicted was true, the lemon was rough and grainy. The bright yellow lemon did have a hard and tough body. But wait, this lemon isn't all bright and happy, wait till its colours unfold and you see how it deceives. As I bring it close to my nose, I can smell whiff the juiciness, the tanginess, and the citrus smell. It's like I can taste it, but I am just smelling. This lemon seems so friendly, trying to lure people in with its welcoming fresh smells, and its fresh body. Why does this simple fruit deceive so many? It looks so bright and inviting, as it del...

The Wise Owl Of Muffely Meadow

Once lived a hummingbird called Laney. Laney had just arrived from a year’s trip to Japan. Over in Japan, she had learned many things. She had learned ‘nuu koto no geijutsu’, well this is how you say it in Japanese… I think, in English, it is known as the art of sewing. Laney was phenomenal at sewing, oh, the way her knitting pieces feel! It was a phenomenal feeling. It felt as if it was your own delicate skin or delicate icicles. Laney was super excited to come back home, into Muffely Meadow. She was walking along the path happily; she wasn’t flying as her wings got tired from flying all the way from Japan to Muffely Meadow. As the grass waved at her she waved back, when the wind whistled so did she, she was in the best mood ever. As she sauntered past the Oaktree, she found a long, and I mean really long line outside of the oak tree. Everybody in the line was holding the most succulent, yummy bird food in the world. There were some stars in the line like, Kitty Purry, Beeyonce, Demi ...
